The Pickering Lions are hosting a soup, salad and sandwich luncheon from 11 am to 2 pm, Sunday, February 5 at the Pickering Community Building. The freewill donation lunch will also have drinks and dessert. The proceeds will go to Lions Clubs scholarships.
The American Legion Post #528 will hold a freewill donation breakfast from 8 am to noon, Sunday, February 5 at the AL Post in Parnell. The menu includes pancakes, biscuits and gravy, eggs made to order, bacon, sausage, coffee and orange juice.

The Spoofhounds hosted 10 teams from Iowa and Missouri for the meet on January 28, and had six wrestlers receive medals. Cash Dew, Dayn Henderson, Tanner Turner, Kort Watkins and Sadler Viau all took second place, while Maven Vette had a fourth place finish.
