Sam Willhoyte

Phyllis Jean “Sam” Willhoyte, 92, Maryville, died Monday, February 17, 2020, at Maryville Living Center.

She was born August 15, 1927, in Maryville, to William John “Bill” and Elizabeth Straugh Dempsey. She attended grade school in Wilcox, and then graduated from Horace Mann High School, Maryville.

On September 22, 1951, she married Jack Newman Willhoyte at the First United Methodist Church in
Maryville.

Memorial services will be at 2 pm, Friday, February 21 at the First United Methodist Church, Maryville.

Burial will follow at the Oak Hill Cemetery, Maryville. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service on Friday at the church.
