Beginning September 10, and continuing at 7 pm each Saturday throughout the fall, First United Methodist Church, Maryville, is offering a worship service in its new gathering space. The space was designed to facilitate interactive worship experiences for people who can’t attend church on Sundays, it is led by Paul Derks, a junior at Northwest.

Ravenwood breakfast to be held

The Ravenwood Community Betterment breakfast will be from 8 am to noon on Sunday, August 28 at the Ravenwood Community Building, West Hawk Street. Cost is $8 for adults and $4 for children. Elks sponsor poker run

The Maryville Elks Lodge, 115 North Main Street, will hold an all-vehicle poker run on Saturday, August 27. The 198-mile ride begins at 9 am, with stops at Elks lodges in Creston, Red Oak and Shenandoah, IA. There will be a stop in Tarkio and the ride ends in Maryville. Cost is $20 per hand.
