Post 464 to host pancake breakfast

American Legion Post 464 will sponsor a pancake breakfast from 7 to 11 am, Sunday, August 20 at the legion post, Conception Jct. Pancakes, sausage, eggs, biscuits and gravy, juice and coffee will be served. Cost is a $7 minimum donation per person; children six and under are free. Proceeds benefit the Cameron Veterans Home.

Hot Dogs at the Pool benefits for humane society

The Maryville Pride Lions will be serving hot dogs from 5 to 8 pm, Monday, August 14 at the Maryville Aquatic Center, 502 North Laura Street. All proceeds from the free-will donation supper will benefit the New Nodaway Humane Society. Participants need not be part of the Paws at the Pool event.

The Northeast Nodaway Booster Club is hosting a free-will donation hamburger and hotdog supper from 5 to 7 pm, Tuesday, August 15 during the open house at the school. Chips, dessert and drinks are included and will be served outside at the school.

Fish Fry is set in Elmo

The Elmo Fish Fry is from 5 to 7 pm, Saturday, August 12 at the Elmo Community Building. In addition to fish there will be fried chicken, jacket fries, lettuce salad, coleslaw and baked beans. Cost is $9. Proceeds go toward the Elmo 4th of July celebration. The fry is sponsored by Elmo Community Betterment.
