30th annual World’s Shortest St. Patrick’s Day Parade set for 5:17 pm

The official length of this year’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade is 84 feet and will start at the corner of Third and North Market, which is in front of Burny’s Sports Bar, the parade’s sponsor.

The 5:17 pm event is free, organized by volunteers and open to anyone wishing to show off their Irish spirit. There are no entry fees or prizes.

The grand marshals of the 30th annual parade will be Mark and Stacy Allen. Mark is the co-founder of the parade. The parade queen contest was held earlier at Burny’s and Dara Willis was crowned the reigning queen.

Parade committee members are the Allens, Chris and Lori Burns, Burny’s Sports Bar owners, and Taylor Farris, Burny’s Sports Bar manager.
