Joan Westcott

Joan Ann Westcott, 77, Hopkins, died Tuesday, April 19, 2022, at the University of Kansas Medical Center.

She was born October 27, 1944, in Shushan, NY, to Lester and Alice Pinkerton MacMurray. She was a high school graduate of a one-room schoolhouse in Shushan.

Mrs. Westcott raised, trained and showed Arabian horses, winning several ribbons and trophies. She had worked as a seamstress for Sears, as a security guard and Head Start teacher. She was active in church.

There will be no visitation or funeral but the family will have a memorial service at a later date.
