Northeast Nodaway 6th graders contribute to animal shelter

The Northeast Nodaway sixth grade class donated money they would have spent on a Christmas gift exchange to the New Nodaway Humane Society in December. The West Nodaway R-I Board of Education met in regular and two closed sessions on December 14 to take care of the following school district business: Superintendent Shannon Nolte discussed policies concerning part-time attendance, early graduation and student work release. Mustangs hold Thanksgiving luau

North Nodaway students Mya Hansen and Havyn Wolfe duck while competing in surfing limbo during a Thanksgiving luau. Each year North Nodaway showcases a different culture during Thanksgiving week. Students participated in coconut bowling, hula dancing, pin the coconut on the tree and surfing limbo and ate homemade ice cream.
