Maryville High School students Hunter Johnson, Gage Marriott, Donato Chesnut and Joseph Ancona measure where to attach a brace on the north side of the shelter. The students were also squaring and leveling as the shelter walls went up.

The Northwest Technical School Building Trades class gets hands-on experience while working on the shelter at the pocket park located at Third and Main streets, Maryville. The class worked on framing the building for several days starting on September 29. The next step the class will undertake is the setting of the trusses when those arrive, Instructor Jay Drake said.
