Clayton couple named Guilford Fun Day Parade grand marshals

Editor’s note: The following is the information read during the parade.

Kenneth and Nida Clayton have been married for 46 years. They have seven children, 18 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Deeply rooted in our community, the Clayton family farm was established here over 120 years ago, making Kenneth and Nida the fourth generation to farm it.

They’ve contributed to our community in many ways, assuming roles such as mayor, tax collector, election judge, city board member as well as serving on the Guilford Community Center Board.

Together, Kenneth and Nida operate Clayton Agri Business, continuing their passion of helping local farmers.

The couple is also dedicated to the Lord’s work, acting as children’s pastor, elders and deacons in their church. Kenneth and Nida are an outstanding couple that shows no signs of slowing down. They just returned from Tulsa where Nida graduated from Rhema Bible Training College’s Pastoral Studies Program. People in our community describe them as hard working, faithful and giving. We are grateful for their example of dedication to the Lord and the people around them.
