
Contestants will compete in the Miss Northwest Pageant Saturday, January 25 in Maryville, with the ultimate goal of becoming Miss America and Miss America Teen.
The event will be held at 6:30 pm at the Mary Linn Theater in the Ron Houston Center for the Performing Arts at Northwest Missouri State University. Miss Missouri 2024 Ashley Berry and Miss Missouri Teen 2024 Bridget Caldwell will both be in attendance and taking part in the pageant functions.
There are 13 young women competing for multiple titles in the Miss and Teen and the opportunity to represent Maryville and Northwest Missouri at Miss Missouri later this summer in Mexico, MO and with the ultimate goal of becoming Miss America.
“Our goal is to help every contestant be the best that they can be and provide a qualified set of judges to choose who they feel will best represent us,” Miss Northwest Pageants Executive Director Kendell Misemer said. “We feel honored that these young women are here to participate in our pageant and we are also very honored by the support that we have received from our sponsors.”
Each contestant will participate before a panel of judges in interview, talent, evening wear and fitness. The public is invited to attend.
Miss Northwest contestants, their age, town and university are: Ananya Senthil, 20, St Louis, University of Missouri, Columbia; Katelynn Smith, 18, Seymour, Central Methodist University; Kendal Straub, 19, Fairfax, North Central Missouri College; Kylie Turner, 22, Hanna City, IL; University of Missouri-Sinclair School of Nursing; Emma Harvey, 19, Memphis, Northwest Missouri State University and Elsa Cardin, 19, Ozark, Missouri State University.
Miss Northwest Teen contestants their age, town and school are: Addison Ditamore, 17, Lee’s Summit, Lee’s Summit High School; Avari Fay, 15, Hannibal, Hannibal High School; Libby Carpenter, 17, Kearney, Kearney High School; Mia Dunn, 15, Cape Fair, Ozark High School; Sara Jones, 16, Houston, Houston High School; Jaycee McMillian, 17, Farmington, Park Hill Central High School/Mineral Area College and Carly Samuel, 16, Columbia, Father Tolton Catholic High School.
