Maryville City Manager Greg McDanel reviewed the Hughes Fieldhouse agreement with members of the Maryville Park and Recreation board during their regular meeting on November 1.

The agreement between Northwest Missouri State University and the city of Maryville allows MPR and public use of the fieldhouse for certain activities. The agreement can be reviewed on an annual basis.

Discussion on the fieldhouse was also part of several departmental reports during the meeting. Recreation Supervisor Shelly Hersh said they are working on the check-in process for walkers in the fieldhouse so Maryville Community Center members can swipe their cards when entering the facility. MCC Supervisor Kaley Coulter announced hours for MCC members at the fieldhouse are 6 am to 1 pm, Monday through Friday. MPR Director Jeff Stubblefield reported the tourism committee has met and discussed the agreement as well.

In other business, the board approved the October minutes and the financial reports.
