Kathryn McKee

Kathryn Marie McKee, 98, Maryville, died Thursday, February 20, 2020, at Parkdale Manor, Maryville.

She was born September 24, 1921, in Craig, to Harry P. “Bert” and Ella Ideker McKee. She graduated from Craig High School, Craig and obtained her bachelor of science in education from Northwest Missouri Teachers College, now Northwest Missouri State University, Maryville. Later she attended the George Peabody School of Education at Vanderbilt University, Nashville, TN, and obtained her master of arts degree in early childhood education.

Ms. McKee taught in the Craig public school, then taught at Northwest Missouri State University from 1946 to 1983.

Funeral service was held Tuesday, February 25 at Hope Lutheran Church. Burial was at the IOOF Cemetery, Craig.
