Several Nodaway and Holt County farmers recently felt a calling to aid fellow livestock ranchers in Oklahoma after the devastating wildfires. They began gathering a few bales of hay to truck to Gate, OK.

The mission grew into nine semi-loads of hay, a hopper of shelled corn and a semi-truck full of miscellaneous aid items. The group of truckers, who traveled to Oklahoma March 17 and 18, included Ryan Maurer, Matt Rosenbohm, Brandon Palmer, Nick Rosenbohm, Glenda Rosenbohm, Nathan Palmer and Jake Shipps.
