The 89th annual Major League Baseball (MLB) All-Star game is July 17 in Washington, DC. This week’s map of Major League Baseball All-Star Players over the past 10 years, a total of 342 players, is based upon where the players attended high school. States in the south and west are the leading per-capita producers of All-Stars. California leads with 47 or 14 percent of all All-Stars. Florida with 39 is second, followed by Dominican Republic, 37, Texas, 25, and Venezuela, 24.  Ninety-seven or 28 percent of All-Stars are from outside the country, primarily Latin America.
