Northwest Missouri State University is inviting the community for a family-friendly kickball tournament on Sunday, December 9 at the Carl and Cheryl Hughes Fieldhouse.

The non-competitive kickball tournament is open to teams comprised of all individuals in fifth grade and older. Games will be played between 2 and 7 pm, with each lasting 20 to 30 minutes. Each team that enters will be guaranteed two games.

Rules will be presented on the day of the tournament.

The Hughes Fieldhouse, which opened to the public on October 12, was completed this fall on the Northwest campus and represents the single largest public-private partnership in the University’s history as well as one of the largest such projects in the region ever. The $21 million, 137,250 square-foot facility is designed to serve a multitude of social, recreational and economic needs for the University and the region.

The facility is open to the public from 6 am to 1 pm, Monday through Friday. Visitors should park in Lot 60 east of the Hughes Fieldhouse and enter through the east entrance.
