Nixon makes appointments to Northwest Regents

Missouri Governor Jay Nixon appointed Jerry Genochio, Democrat, Kansas City; Matt Kitzi, Democrat, Columbia; Roxanna R. Skidmore City Council met August 11 to set the tax levy. The 2016-2017 tax levy was set at $2 per $100 of assessed value, with $1 for the general fund and $1 for streets and roads. Burlington Jct. City Council appoints new city lawyer

Burlington Jct. council members voted during their August 10 meeting to approve Taryn Henry as city lawyer. Henry replaces Pat McLaughlin, who has taken leave for health issues. Mozingo budget to include rip rap

Maryville City officials presented the 2017 Mozingo budget to the Mozingo Advisory Board for approval during the August 15 meeting. Public safety trains with life-like scenarios

Maryville Public Safety recently trained with a real-life simulation program. The force and firearm video training program, Milo Range, is offered through Maryville’s insurance company, Missouri Intergovernmental Risk Management Association (MIRMA).
