Mozingo Advisory Board discusses policies

The Mozingo Advisory Board recently discussed possible improvements and policy changes to be implemented after peak season ends. Assistant City Manager Ryan Heiland suggested implementing a survey to all current campers as well as emailing a survey to past campers asking about park improvements and what they think staff could do to make Mozingo better.

Cattlemen host annual beef cookoff at Mozingo

The annual Nodaway County Cattlemen’s Association beef cookoff was held at the Mozingo Lake equestrian campground on May 19. Ten teams competed in three categories: beans, brisket and sirloin tip roast. The meat was provided by the association. Burlington Jct. City Mayor Justin Plymell presented the city council with a preliminary budget during the regular meeting May 14.
