100 days of school celebrated by NH, WN

The 100th day of school was celebrated February 27 at Nodaway-Holt Elementary and March 1 at West Nodaway Elementary. With both schools on four-day weeks, the 100th day signifies the students have finished 2/3 of the school year. The NH kindergarten class was stacking 100 cups into different size pyramids.

The third grade at Eugene Field Elementary, Maryville, completed an economics unit after inviting local entrepreneur, Pop & Nana Henry’s Kettle Corn in to talk about their business. Maryville Middle School was the site of the February 6 Nodaway County Spelling Bee. Two students from Maryville Middle School, Jefferson, West Nodaway, Horace Mann, Northeast Nodaway and St. Gregory participated.
