Jefferson moves forward with new gymnasium design

The Jefferson school board reviewed blueprints for the gymnasium building addition during its July 18 meeting. The board will meet with architects and designers in a special meeting later to finalize plans. Once the blueprints are approved, the board will open bids.

The school board voted to raise the prices of school lunches 5¢ for the 2016-2017 school year, in a six to one vote with Jeff Farnan voting no. The new lunch prices will be $2 for elementary, $2.10 for high school and $2.70 for adults. Currently, the school has more food service expenditures than revenue.
