The Mires family reunion will be Sunday, March 26 at the Nodaway County Senior Center, Maryville. There will be a carry-in basket dinner at noon. Drinks and table service will be provided. The Trimble branch of the family is in charge.

The American Legion Fourth District meeting will be on Sunday, March 12 at Dick Munkres Post 287 in Savannah. The Four Chaplains Memorial Service and a meal will be at 1:30 pm with the meeting afterward.
The Elmo Fish Fry is from 5 to 7 pm, Saturday, March 11 at the Elmo Community Building. The menu includes fish, fried chicken, jacket fries, lettuce salad, cole slaw and baked beans. Cost is $9. Proceeds go toward the Elmo 4th of July celebration and is sponsored by Elmo Community Betterment.
The annual fish and chicken fry will be held from 4:30 to 7 pm, Saturday, March 11 at the Wilcox United Methodist Church. The meal includes all-you-can-eat fish and chicken strips, French fries, salads and drink. Cost is $10 for adults, $5 for children and free for preschool children.
The Nodaway Chapter of Daughters of the American Revolution will meet from 10 am to noon, Saturday, March 11 at the First United Methodist Church, 102 North Main Street, Maryville. The program is about honoring ancestral patriots.
