Ravenwood breakfast to be held

Elks sponsor poker run

The Maryville Elks Lodge, 115 North Main Street, will hold an all-vehicle poker run on Saturday, August 27. The 198-mile ride begins at 9 am, with stops at Elks lodges in Creston, Red Oak and Shenandoah, IA. There will be a stop in Tarkio and the ride ends in Maryville. Cost is $20 per hand.

The Barnard Picnic begins at 5 pm, August 20 with a baby show. The Lil’ Mr. and Miss Barnard contest is at 5:30 pm, with a $7 dinner following at 6 pm. Entertainment will be provided by Knobtown Skiffle Band. All events are at the fairgrounds.
