Church gives away bread, sweets
The Pickering Christian Church is conducting an outreach mission. Free bread and sweets may be picked up from 2 to 4 pm, Monday, August 19 at the east basement door.

The Drydale reunion will begin at noon, Sunday, August 18 at the Messick Park shelter in Savannah. Drinks and plastic-ware will be provided for the potluck lunch.
A vet clinic will be held at the Skidmore Wildcat Park shelter from 10 am to noon, Saturday, August 17. Nodaway Veterinary Clinic will be available to give rabies and other shots for a charge. Skidmore city dog licenses will be sold at $10 per dog.
“Madness ‘n Mound City” Truck, Tractor, Car and Bike Show will be held from 8 am to 3 pm, Saturday, August 10 at the historic Mound City depot grounds. Live entertainment will be from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm. A car cruise is planned at 3 pm. Attendees are urged to bring lawn chairs. Rain
The Friday Night Cruisers will display antique and vintage cars from 6 to 7 pm, Thursday, August 15 at Oak Pointe of Maryville, 817 South Country Club Road.
