Skidmore Community Betterment will meet at 2 pm, Sunday, February 9 at Newton Hall, Skidmore. Interested individuals are invited to attend.
A freewill donation breakfast will be held from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm, Sunday, February 9 at the Maitland American Legion Building, weather permitting. The menu is scrambled eggs, sausage gravy and biscuits, pancakes, cinnamon rolls, orange juice or coffee.
The Elmo Fish Fry is from 5 to 7 pm, Saturday, February 8 at the Elmo Community Building. Besides fish, there will be fried chicken, potatoes, salads and drink. Cost is $9; children 12 and under are $5. Proceeds go toward community service projects. Sponsored by the Elmo Community Betterment.
The Nodaway Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) will meet at 10 am, Saturday, February 8 at the First United Methodist Church, 102 North Main Street, Maryville. The patriot of the month will be honored.

Private pesticide applicator trainings are scheduled as part of the ag update county meetings held by the Extension service. The meetings will begin at 8:30 am and at 10 am the update meeting will begin. The Nodaway County ag update will be held Tuesday, February 4 at the main floor meeting room in the Nodaway
