Maryville High School has moved Homecoming activities to the week of Monday, October 26 through Friday, October 31. Royalty will be crowned before the Friday night football game. If the football team receives a bye for the week, a Homecoming rally will be held in the stadium Friday night.
The Second Harvest Community Food Bank will send pop-up mobile food drops from 10 am to noon, Wednesday, September 23 to Smith Repair, 214 South Coleman, Pickering, and to the First Christian Church, 211 East Third Street, Burlington Jct. Both events, while supplies last, are open to the general public. There are no income guidelines
The City of Skidmore is giving residents the opportunity to continue cleaning up their properties with a city-wide cleanup from Monday, September 21 through Monday, September 28. There will be trash receptacles at the north end of town. No tires accepted.

Work on a wind farm project will close Nodaway County Route H Saturday, Aug. 29, at 10 a.m. Contractors with RES Americas, working under a permit obtained through the Missouri Department of Transportation, will close Route H where it intersects with 350th Street and Glacier Road in order to move heavy equipment across Route H. Nodaway County Health Department Administrator, Tom Patterson, announces 11 individuals residing in Nodaway County, Missouri have tested positive for the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).
