Bean signs to play baseball

Maryville High School senior Alex Bean achieved one of his dreams on January 18 when he signed to play baseball at Benedictine College, Atchison, KS.

Joining him were, front: Shannon Beemer, mother, Anthony Everman, Benedictine College head baseball coach, Bean, Adam Bean, father, back: James Beemer, stepfather, Monica Woods, MHS baseball coach, Marilyn Glidden, grandmother, Jean and Brent Bean, grandparents, and Lola Bean, stepmother.

Bean plans to be a business management major. Benedictine will pay for 50 percent of his tuition.
