The Burlington Jct. American Legion Auxiliary will hold a supper from 5 to 7 pm, Friday, September 13 at the American Legion Building in BJ. The supper will feature breaded tenderloin sandwiches, potato wedges, salad, drink and dessert. Cost is $8 for adults and children five and under are free.

The Elmo Fish Fry is from 5 to 7 pm, Saturday, September 14 at the Elmo Community Building. Besides fish, there will be fried chicken, potatoes, salads and drink. Cost is $9; children 12 and under are $5. Proceeds go toward community service projects and is sponsored by the Elmo Community Betterment.
The Parnell United Methodist Church will host a fish fry from 11 am to 2 pm, Sunday, September 15 at the church. The freewill dinner menu will include white pollock fish, chicken, baked potatoes, cole slaw, baked beans, corn, green beans, hot rolls, desserts and drinks. The church basement is handicapped accessible.
