Maryville council sets the financial stage for FY25

At the September 30 Maryville City Council meeting, the annual budget for the 2025 fiscal year was approved by the council. The total revenues plus beginning available reserves total $62,187,490, while projected expenses plus contingencies equal the same amount. Budget factors include a 3.5 percent COLA, and a 15 percent increase for health insurance premiums

Drew Robinson speaks to area community, students

On September 25 and 26, Maryville’s Mosaic and area mental health partners welcomed Drew Robinson to Maryville. Currently a mental health advocate for the San Francisco Giants, Robinson is a former major league baseball player who survived a suicide attempt in April of 2020. He uses his platform and experiences to raise awareness around suicide

Lord’s Acre Day to be celebrated in Wilcox

The Wilcox United Methodist Church is holding the Lord’s Acre Day with an auction at 10:30 am and dinner at 11:30 am, Saturday, October 5. The freewill donation meal will feature turkey, noodles, dressing, ham, salads and pie. There will be produce, crafts and baked goods.
