Spartan football season ends with 60-12 loss to Cardinals

In district play, South Holt-Nodaway Holt was unable to advance after a 60-12 loss to the North Andrew Cardinals on October 27. Jake Cotton ties up the Cardinal player as quarterback Andrew Quinlin hands off the ball to Cole Alloway. Alloway had 10 tackles for the game. Spartan defence goes after the Cardinal ball carrier.

Cold, wind did not detour trick or treaters from annual event

The 22nd annual Maryville Downtown Trick or Treat saw record numbers of trick or treaters and participating businesses, organizations, individuals and churches on October 30. Carol and Rod Couts give out pencils and rubber ducks from the doorway of Accent Signs. Not pictured was Melody Blair of Minnie Lane who was also treating the crowd.
