Maryville High School students attended golf camp July 18-21 on the Watson 9 course at Mozingo.

The camp was open to high school boys and girls interested in golf. There were 24 students who attended this year. They focused on the short game, chipping, putting and bunker play through a series of drills. Team practice begins August 1.

“This year was probably the hottest that we have had since I started having camps about 10 years ago. The camp gives golfers the opportunity to create, build and strengthen relationships with other golfers. It was great having access to the Watson 9 practice green with the pavilion in close proximity where we could take breaks from the heat,” said Brenda Ricks, Maryville High School golf coach.
