The Maryville High School boys played Lafayette and Savannah in a golf match during torrential rains, high wind, hail and even a few moments of sunshine on April 5. Lafayette’s coach pulled his players after the hail went through while Savannah and Maryville continued to play a few more holes.

Maryville’s head coach Brenda Ricks and Savannah’s coach Dan Barnes looked the weather radar maps trying to decide whether or not to pull the golfers off the course. Barnes ended up deciding to pull his players while some of the Maryville team members stayed to practice. The match will be rescheduled.

Cole Phillips dressed warmly for the match.
