County fire districts work together to assign coverage to unprotected region

 Every home in Nodaway County is protected one way or another by a fire district, or so it was thought.

For years now, the fire district boards have been putting their heads together to figure out what to do with a region west of Arkoe, just south of the Polk Fire District and north of the Graham Fire District that isn’t covered by any Nodaway County fire district. The unprotected area’s general location is south of 310th Street, north of 337th Street, west of U Highway and east of 320th Street.
