Pride Lions teams with KCP&L to plant trees

The Pride Lions received a $1,500 grant from KCP&L to use toward the tree planting project completed on April 25. The project consisted of planting 27 maple and oak trees near the newly completed trail along South Munn Street in Maryville.

Members of the Maryville High School Spoofhound football team, along with members, gathered for the check presentation. Holding the check is Robert Rice, Pride Lions president, and Dan Hegeman, KCP&L representative and state senator.

     The North Nodaway School Board of Education voted at the April board meeting to hire Tim Conn as high school principal for the 2015-16 school year.

    Rotary collects for Shoes for Orphan Souls

    For the 14th year, the Maryville Rotary Club has gathered shoes, socks, shoelaces and cash to support the north Missouri 56 Rotary Club’s efforts. Maryville Rotarians collected 277 pairs to be added to the over 17,500 pairs of shoes

    BJ bank robbers sentenced to federal prison
