MoDOT’s new STIP available for comment

 The draft 2013-2017 Statewide Transportation Improvement Program (STIP) that lists transportation projects planned by state and regional planning agencies for fiscal years 2013 through 2017 was announced recently and includes many new projects that affect Northwest Missouri.

“We are focused on keeping our transportation system in as good a condition as we can, for as long as we can with these projects,” said Don Wichern, MoDOT Northwest district engineer. “However, there will come a time in the near future when even though we have reduced staff, facilities and equipment to direct as much funding as possible to our system, we may not be able to fund any more improvements to the system.”
