Governor travels to Maryville

After visiting with officials from the City of Maryville and Nodaway County, Governor Jay Nixon gathered a round table of leaders from the Nodaway County Soil and Water Conservation District to speak about the potential loss of revenue with the 2014 sales tax exemption legislation. The laws, which were passed through the General Assembly late in the session, have been vetoed by Nixon but his veto is threatened to be over-ridden by the legislature in September.
