Maryville preschools to partner for literacy night

Maryville-area preschools are teaming up with the local library to host October Literacy Night – Every Child Ready to Read to help parents create a strong foundation of reading for their young children.

October Literacy Night, which welcomes parents and their children ages infancy to five years, is sponsored by St. Francis Preschool and Childcare, St. Gregory’s Preschool, Maryville Head Start, Northwest Missouri State University’s Leet Center, Maryville R-II Parents as Teachers and the Maryville Public Library, which recently received an early literacy grant.
