Large crowd gathers for Northwest Technical School car show despite rain

People braved a rain shower to bring a wide range of vehicles for the Northwest Technical School collision repair program car show June 25. There were 36 cars. All proceeds went towards raising funds for students to compete in SkillsUSA events. SkillsUSA hosts competitions where students demonstrate occupational and leadership skills. These competitions take place locally, at the state and national level.

Vehicles at the NTS car show ranged in age from Model T’s to modern cars.

     Maryville received $49,500 in HOME Repair Opportunity (HeRO) program funds.

    The grant is funded by the Missouri Housing Development Commission (MHDC) whose mission is to improve the quality of life of the citizens of Missouri

    NW launches inaugural agriculture academy

     Twenty-four area high school students received hands-on lessons in the ever-changing world of precision agriculture technologies when Northwest Missouri State University hosted the first AgriVision Equipment Group Precision Agriculture Summer Academy.
