Tri-County Mental Health Service’s CEO presented Employee of the Quarter award to Ashley Hennegin, intake and assessment manager.

Maryville native Ashley Hennegin won employee of the year for her work at Tri-County’s Mental Health Services, Kansas City.

With over 100 employees, Tri-County assists more than 7,000 patients a year. Hennegin has worked for two years at Tri-County an is currently the intake and assessment manager. She also answers crisis calls from the community.

“It is challenging. People in crisis with mental health issues need to be assessed very quickly. We see people come in every day that are desperately needing services,” said Hennegin.

Hennegin was awarded employee of the quarter during the company’s last quarter of the year. The four quarterly winners were considered for a higher honor and she went on to become employee of the year.

“It is very rewarding. Working with everyone who comes in to make sure they find a fit here or elsewhere is important.” said Hennegin. 

She ia a 1997 Maryville High School graduate. She earned a bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Missouri. She went on to receive a master’s degree in social work and is a licensed clinical social worker.

She is married to TJ Hennegin, also from Maryville. The couple lives in Smithville and has two children; Logan who is 10 and Molly, six. Ashley is the daughter of Patty and Jim Whan, Maryville.
