The Maryville Garden Club is excited and preparing for a flower show.

Martha Kinman, a longtime member of the Maryville Garden Club, was the top design winner in 2015.

Every other year, during the Nodaway County Fair, the club holds a show at the First Christian Church, Third and Buchanan Streets. The show is open to the public, free of charge, from 1 to 8:30 pm, Friday, July 14 or from 8 am to 1 pm, Saturday, July 15.

This year the club invites and encourages the public to enter the show in the design and/or horticulture divisions. Designs can contain purchased or grown plant material. The horticulture entries must be grown by the person who enters.

Those who would like to enter should contact Martha Heflin Moldaver, 660.582.8838, for a program, any questions or guidance. Entries will only be accepted from 7 to 9 am, July 14.

“It is lots of fun, educational and so pretty to see and enjoy,” Heflin Moldaver said. “We look forward to seeing you at the show.”
