Jefferson girls advance while boys end season

MSHSAA Class 1 Basketball Sectionals: Jefferson girls advance with 46-32 win; boys end season with 50-55 loss

Both Jefferson boys and girls basketball teams advanced to the Missouri State High School Athletic Association Class One sectionals. Both teams played on February 28 at St. Joseph Civic Arena. The boys went up against North Andrew and suffered a 50-55 loss. The girls beat King City 46-32.

The Jefferson girls basketball team will play in the quarterfinal game against Mercer at 7:45 pm, Friday, March 3 at the St. Joseph Civic Arena.

Kelsi McQuinn flies to grab a rebound.

Clayton Merrigan goes up for two. He had eight points for the game.
