This year’s 82nd annual NFL draft that begins April 27 includes 103 underclassmen or early graduates that had football eligibility remaining.

This per-capita map displays 29 states producing players that declared early for the draft. Southern states produced the greatest number, highlighting an area known as the Pigskin Cult. The Midwest and western states account for most of the remaining players.
