The North Nodaway R-VI School District announced Christopher Turpin will be the 2020-2021 school year superintendent of schools. Turpin is currently the K-12 principal of Union Star R-II School District and has been there since August 2009. Northeast Nodaway hosted a Thanksgiving lunch November 21 in the gymnasium. There were about 30 community members in attendance. The student council served the meal. For entertainment, preschool class members sang a couple of songs under the direction of Amanda Sutton, PK-12 music teacher.
Maryville High School is launching a new book-gifting program aimed at older readers. Spoofhound Bookshelf will offer free reading books to interested high school students throughout the school year.
