WN, NH look at 4-day school week

Two Nodaway County schools, West Nodaway and Nodaway-Holt, are considering four-day school weeks for the 2022-23 school year. Both schools have undertaken surveys with the students, staff, parents and community members. The schools are looking at the four-day week for the following reasons: • Attracting and retaining quality teachers. • Increased student and teacher attendance.

Jefferson Elementary triumphs with compassion challenge

Jefferson Elementary Principal Caden Farnan gives the elementary students a monthly challenge and December’s was compassion. NEN student council hosts Adopt-a-Teacher

The Northeast Nodaway Student Council is sponsoring an Adopt-A-Teacher program through January 10, 2022. A wish list is available online for purchase and may be shipped directly to the school. SN 4th graders complete fundraiser

Aubrey Jackson, Lexi Wray and Lily Hayden have made stress balls to sell at $1 each to give a monetary donation to the Noyes Home, St. Joseph. As of November 19, the students had collected $253. The original goal was $200.
