This year’s Under the Big Top-themed St. Francis Gala is Saturday, February 18 and will be hosted by the St. Francis Hospital Foundation and SSM Health St. Francis Hospital Auxiliary. The annual event is one of the foundation’s major fundraisers, with this year’s proceeds going toward the new SSM Health Preschool & Child Care Center.

“This is going to be such a fun theme for our guests,” Megan Jennings, development officer for St. Francis Hospital Foundation, said. “We’ve incorporated things like aerial performances, carnival games and festive eats into the evening to really highlight our cause.”

The program includes a social hour beginning at 6 pm with cash bar, hors d’oeuvres and live music performed by the Northwest Missouri State University Jazz Ensemble. Dinner begins at 7 pm, catered by The Bread Basket. A silent auction with mobile bidding will run throughout the evening, as well as a live auction after dinner for a variety of valuable items and experiences. The KC Flo band will take the stage at 9 pm, with dancing until midnight.

In addition to the auctions, a raffle for a seven-night Alaskan Cruise is also being held. Tickets are $30, or four for $100, and can be purchased in advance of the gala.

The black-tie-optional event will be held at the Maryville Community Center and valet parking will be available.
